Add-On App: Web Catalog Order Pad

If you were to peruse the monitors on the desks of your sales reps, what do you see? Do you see supplier or your own website up showing product information? Isn't it true that your reps need to access more expansive product information in addition to the 60 characters (for example) provided in your back office item description ? which often can be quite cryptic and made that way to facilitate searching. Moreover, the categorization of products within the legacy ERP application is typically done for financial reporting and not useful for customers who want a more sales-friendly drill down.

Many companies find that the sales staff performs item searching on the company website because it provides many more products than are setup in the Legacy ERP application. The back office system is limited in the information presented but the website provides a number of search utilities to drill down to the exact item needed.

My Order Point's Web Catalog Order Pad for Enterprise+ WorkSpace™ was created to allow you to enter orders directly from a categorization structure found on your own website. In addition to that, other hierarchies can be established to assist sales: by manufacturer, product category, product type, etc. The categorization provided can be determined by your company and we can help you setup a centralized item repository to assist sales in finding the right product to suit the customer requirement.

Our Web Catalog Order Pad also provides detailed drilldown into each product so that more extensive product data (ex. images, long descriptions, specification sheets, website links, etc.) can be reviewed directly from the order pad you're working on. Since the Web Catalog Order Pad integrates with our Advanced Add-on Apps (Sales Order Entry and Sales Quote Entry) as well as our integrated IBM I Legacy Session within our Enterprise+ WorkSpace™, your sales staff will be able to enter line items via a click versus having to enter a full SKU or enter search words. They will feel more comfortable working with longer item descriptions as opposed to using the limited description within the back office system. Also, since the web catalog can contain many more products not setup within the back office system, the Web Catalog Order Pad provides a centralized location for all items to be made accessible for speeding up the order entry process.
